I had forgotten just how good Director David O. Russell’s film Three Kings was until re-watching it recently. With it’s satirical, irreverent script that skewers U.S. foreign policy and the television media during the first Iraq war and a great cast including George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube, Spike Jonze and Nora Dunn this movie is, unfortunately, just as relevant today as it was when it was originally released in 1999. Three Kings can be mentioned in the same breath as those classic 1970s anti-war films M.A.S.H. and Catch-22.
